The Interdisciplinary Center for Clinical Research Laboratory under the leadership of Prof. Andreas Beilhack actively participates in national and international research consortia to advance immunotherapy for inflammatory diseases, against cancer and infections, imaging & microscopy and nanotechnology. At Würzburg University Medical School the IZKF research group belongs to the Departments of Medicine II and Pediatrics and is involved in the Graduate School of Life Sciences of the German Excellence Initiative, the Comprehensive Cancer Center Main-Franken, the Research Center for Infectious Diseases, two graduate colleges (Immunomodulation and 3D Infect) and the Clinician-Scientist Program Else-Kröner Forschungskolleg for Interdisciplinary Translational Immunology.
